Hello. Just planning an upgrade to my system as my current 6 year old is starting to show its age (a Q6600 on an MSI P6N board). Advice and/or recommendations appreciated :)

    1. What is your budget? €700 approx.

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Gaming/Internet

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? No

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? I think I can squeeze some more life out of my 560Ti and will upgrade this separately. I will also keep my PSU.

    5. Do you need a monitor? Yes

    6. Are you willing to try overclocking? Yes, but I want to keep things relatively simple at the moment. Maybe down the line.

    7. How can you pay? [Bank Transfer/Credit Card/Laser]

I was thinking something along the lines of this. My main concern is how well the 560Ti would hold up in terms of gaming at 1920x1080 but this isn't really an issue immediately as I will replace it if I it is an issue (i.e if I really want to play a particular game that wont run well). I'm more interested in getting a decent 'good bang for my buck' machine with requiring a low amount of putting together (I'm new to self-building).

Looks good. The 560ti should last you until the next gen of cards.

You could probably hold off for Haswell too but the gains aren't big over ivy so it doesn't really matter.
