I wonder how much & does it need much of a flow ?
Is the water from mountain stream suitable for horses & cattle ?

Google search Water Wheel Pump Plans for more info. Also saw mention of Water Driven Coil Pump which is just a different name for the water wheel pump I think.

It's likely there would also be a customs bill.

in a few weeks my ram pump will be running again after a flood last summer that done alot of damage and anyone that wants can come and see it working

I suggested a ram pump to a farmer friend, but I don't know whether she'll go for it or not. She's been hauling water for sheep and to her house.

Lazy question, are they self priming? She's got a small stream (glorified drain really) on her land with a good but short fall. But, the flow wouldn't be hugely reliable I'd guess.
