Development at Ming Wah/Flats in Esmondale, Naas?

A taxi driver told me a few days ago that there are plans to demolish Ming Wah and the block of flats at the top of Esmondale. He couldn't tell me anything other than the fact that Ming Wah was closing and the entire block would be demolished.

Has anyone heard anything about this? Any ideas for the reasons behind it or what might be planned for the area?

There's nothing in for planning at that location

Ming-Wah is now Dynsaty Kitchen and I believe it is now run by the same people that run the Victoria Garden in Johnstown.
