    Hey all,

This is probably a very silly question, but I'm stumped. :o

I put an ad on Donedeal, and I just got an email from DoneDeal saying an interested user had sent me a message on DoneDeal.

There are a few hyperlinks, but none of which lead me to a private message system or such. I can't for the life of me figure out how to reply to this message. In fact I can't even see any mention of it outside of the email I got.

    Anyone got any idea?

    Cheers. :)

As far as I remember you reply to the email and it is send on to the sender. It's a way of protecting the buyers email address and having a paper trail of emails

Is the reply to address (somelongaddresswithnumbers)@donedeal.ie?

Close enough, it's @safemail.donedeal.ie. but I'm guessing that's what you meant, anyway?

So just press reply? Seems handy, but a strangely 'odd' way of doing things.

    Yup that's it.

I know eBay does the same situation, It is so you don't get the see the buyers email for spamming and it allows donedeal to keep copies of all emails sent (although I am not sure if they do this)

Yes just reply. The address is the buyers donedeal address. Anything sent to that email will arrive in the buyers actually email account (gmail hotmail or whatever address they have)

Ah it seems fairly straight forward but for I think Im just too use to websites (boards, facebook, etc.) with dedicated messaging systems.

Cheers Vuzuggu. I appreciate your help.
