Open Dinner Voucher?

Hi, I recently received a dinner voucher for a nice restaurant. I was just wondering if anyone has used one before. It's an 'open dinner voucher for two' there is no value mentioned on it. I'm presuming its for 3 course meal and I present it as a cash voucher at the end? Thanks. :)

Different restaurants have different policies, would you not just ring the restaurant and ask?
