Can I get some help identifying this bass

    One for you real enthusiasts.

I bought this bass from Adverts this morning.

Took it home and it plays fantastic, sounds great and everything. But I would absolutely love to know who made it.

The dude I bought it from swapped for it a few years ago, but never really had a chance to play it, hence the sale to me. He didn't get any story about it either.

I was told that it's a stock Fender P-neck with some work done on the headstock to shape it.

I can't find any identifying marks (serial numbers, etchings, etc.) on the body, and there were no papers or anything.

The body is stained oak with beech up the middle, if that helps anyone. So I guess I'm just wondering if anyone recognises the work of someone who uses those materials, or recognises a signature body shape or something.

As it stands, you all know as much as I or the seller know about the bass. I guess I'd just like to know where the guitar came from and that kind of thing.
