I would tend to agree, can't think of any more expensive... definitely one if not the most expensive countries to watch the restricted rights that we are subject to anyway.

    54 (sky) + 17 (setanta) that's no hd either?

And that price will only go higher when BT enter the fold. Well done to the EU for making it a better market for consumers :(

Not mentioning any discounted deals that may be out there, it's €62pm (27 + 35) for Sky Sports plus another 17 for Setanta. Highly unlikely BT will be available like the current SS+ESPN package is to RoI subscribers (ESPN included in the price for the Sky Sports pack).

Throw in HD and it's going to be €100+ pm to watch all the EPL games next August, presuming Setanta gets the Sat 3pm ko's.

see this is it, how many other countries have 3 different providers showing epl? Its all so crazy, we are the biggest mugs for paying it.

I'm not sure its the most expensive but its pretty steep. It is however cheaper on cable due to Setanta Ireland and ESPN being basic tier channels. (With the merger of Setanta Sports 1 and Premier Sports, if Setanta get 3pms next year there are likely to be less 3pms on the channel formerly known as Setanta Sports 1).

Is there anything Ireland isn't the most expensive place to do?
