Ryanair On-line Check in payment question

This is my first time to use Ryanair.

I booked the ticket already in February to Edinburgh May Bank holiday.

Now, I tried to check in online (as it's a must for them). And I selected seats and I need to pay 20E extra. I was paying with Debit card. But in the payment box, it said:

Your Debit/Credit card will be debited the following amount(s)
    Total Payment Amount 104.98 EUR

They did not deduct the flight tickets and asked me to pay for the flight tickets and the check-ins. I checked my bank statement, Ryanair did charge me already for the flight tickets on the date I booked with them online.

I just want to pay the 20E. Anyone came across this problem? Or should I contact Ryannair???

(I used both Chrome and IE to do the check in. And the same happened)

    Millions THANKS.

From my memory it says Total to be charged and total payment amount.

So Amount that will be charged and then the total price of the flight including the optional seat fee.

No, it did not say total will be charged in the last payment box that request me the details of credit card.

But it did say amount due (which is 20E) in the 'total' box. But not the payment box.

Attached you can see the print-screen of it.

Is it alright to proceed to believe that they just charge me for 20E?

I just dont want the hassles to chase back the money if there is mistake here.

Million thanks for your prompt response.

You will only be charged €20. Same thing when I added a bag to a booking you just pay the difference.

It could also be that the OP was trying to reserve seats which are 10 euros each way. This confused me the first time i seen it and then you can just press no thanks at the bottom of the screen and check in without paying a thing

jjbrien, as far as I know, they are now charging for online check-in. In the terms and conditions, it is written that the on-line check in fee is 7E per journey. And it's a must.

I reserved the seats but indeed, I felt I had no choice as I did not see there was any options allow me to skip the select seat step and just do the check-in. Maybe it's just me who did not see things clearly. But considering that it's only 3E more to reserve a seat, I think it's OK. I will be using Ryanair again so I will check carefully whether I can just pay 7E to check-in but not to reserve seats.

    Cheers!

@booksale, I had the same worries when I was checking in; I assume that you ended up only paying the extra €20? Thanks.

Yes, I paid only E20 extra to reserve seats. But when I was on the planes, I found a lot of people did not reserve a seat.

I will be flying with Ryanair again soon, I will check very very carefully this time before I click any buttons.
