Well lads. Just wondering have any of ye ever had any success with these collars. I cannot stop my 3 year old springer barking at night time. Neighbours haven't said anything yet but it's coming if I can't stop it.

Have never used one myself but a friend has one on his jack Russell the last few weeks, there's not a peep out of the dog now, he highly recommends it

marcp,I'm nowhere near you but I would try
    1. a gunshop if there is one near you(Red mills is down your way isn't it)
    2. a petshop
3, hardware shop or army surplus type place.

I have seen them in all these places over the last couple of months

Try John lambert. I'd imagine he has one.

I'm taking the dog is outside, so is it locked in a kennel, or can it wander outside outside? Just wondering why it's barking.

Cheers lads. No she is out in a run fairly big about 20ft by 10ft. Nothing around annoying her few other dogs here and there in the estate but nothing different to 2 weeks ago when she wasent at this. Other springer in run aswell and not a peep out of her, you would never even know she was there. Even had them out last nite for about 7 miles, got home about 9, I said she be nice and tired now no barking, soon as it got black dark off she started again, so I can see no reason why she is doing it.

Only thing I can think of is if she's always facing the same direction when barking? I'm thinking it's a shadow of something that she see's, esp as it only sets her off at night.

Do you close her in a night time ? My ess likes his door closed, & if I forget he barks to remind me.. bit mad Ted.. but it works for me.

If a dog/bitch is only barking recently you could also try Kalm Aid
I have bitches in season at the moment and the whole kennel has gone mental. Anyway I gave the dogs this stuff on Saturday night to try and keep them quiet for the sake of the neighbours - worked a charm on the worst culprit - not a sound all night and he didn't even get out of his bed in the morning.
I never heard of anyone using it for this purpose and was just chancing my arm but have to say that it does work - may also work for you.
I'm not a fan of the electric collars but I do have a remote control one that I've used as a last resort on two dogs over the years - with great results to be honest.
