new to building pc need advice please

Hi there I have decided to branch out and get into pc gaming. After years of console i want a bit more from my gaming experiance. i have just bought the tornado race seat aswell as the csr wheel and pedals. i want to get into iracing to begin and then bf3 ect ect. any help or advice will be greatly appriciated.


budget ....................650 to 850 ( mid to high end system )

main purpose is for gaming ,internet, music and movies ( iracing , bf3, crysis, )

not to sure about windows is there other os systems, ( whichever is better )

not using parts from current pc.

I dont need a monitor as i use my 42inch led tv for both pc and console at the min

I dont need keyboard or mouse at the min ( but will invest in gaming one later ) but want wireless card and anythig else that will impreve my gaming experiance

not looking to overclock yet but again will give it a try in the future to speed up the system

can pay debit cart, paypall,

can purchase over the next 3 weeks,

situated in small town outside galway ( gort )

Also looking to have 3 screens in the future so what would i need for that to run smoothly

I think intel CPUs are slightly better for racing sims but someone correct me if I'm wrong.

3 screen setup will be demanding on the GPU so I went for a fairly high end card. This means I could not afford to put an SSD or overclock-able CPU into the build. Not overclocking the CPU is fine but you may want to pick up a SSD at a later date.

just one more thing then ill be ordering on tuesday or wednesday. the case you have suggested is nice. but i was wondering what your advice would be on a white case i have found on that site. would it be compatable with what i,m hoping to build. Aerocool Strike-X Advance Midi-Tower is the tower i,m after............

Just wanna say a huge thanks to everyone and anyone who helped or gave advice with regards building a new pc. i have just ordered the parts suggested and now look forward to my parts arriving. will keep you posted when they arrive and try to put some pics up when i start the build .

Parts arrived today. and decided to start building it around 4. 7 hours later I finally got it finished (looks cool ) but only to find that when I powered it up there is no picture. no start up screen or bios ..............NOTHING...... the fans all work and the dvd tray works and the leds works but stumped as what to do next. can someone please help.

Sure
Have you the monitor connected to the grapohics card don't connect it to the motherboard.

Try booting with just one stick of ram installed, test each stick one at a time.

Sorry to be a pain in the ass but I've ran into another problem. Every time I try to switch PC on the tv fails to pick up the signal. After leaving the tv on and then restarting the PC it then comes on. Would I be better getting a VGA to hdmi or is it something simple to fix. Other than that its seems to be running fine. I must say its the quickest PC I have ever owned. Switch on to log in takes 6 seconds.
