HI all, we have my dad moving to the area and he lives by himself....He is able to drive but isn't the quickest on his feet. Anyway Id like to know are there any active retirement groups in the area or old age people groups etc etc....Would love him to meet people his own age and get out and about etc... He's 74. Any advice?

If he's into a bit of music, send him off to Durrow on Sunday. They have music and dancing in the hotel there during the day at 3. So he wouldn't be out all night driving if he didn't fancy it. Its on Sunday nights too so could make a good day of it if he'd the energy
