Gaming PC Build ~€1500

I'm a bit flexible on price but looking at what is normally proposed I guess that shouldn't be a problem.

1. What is your budget? [€1500]

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? [Gaming/Internet/Some engineering programs] (BF4, Starcraft, Skyrim, etc.)

3. Do you need a copy of Windows? [Yes]

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? [No]
5. Do you need a monitor? [Yes]

5a. If yes, what size do you need. [22'/24' i suppose]

6. Do you need any of these peripherals? [Keyboard/Mouse/Wireless Card/Card Reader/Speakers/etc.] All of these

7. Are you willing to try overclocking? [No]

8. How can you pay? [Bank Transfer/Credit Card/Laser]

9. When are you purchasing? [In a month]

10. If you need help building it, where are you based? [I'm good, I'll figure it out]

Basically I'm looking to switch most of my gaming to PC so I want to be able to handle any games on top settings for as long as I can. Sorry to ask, not trying to open a can of worms, but windows 8 or 7? Theres so much conflicting arguments its hard to see whats the best option.
Lastly should I get everything off Hardwareversand or mix and match from different sites.

A good system that will allow a second gpu down the line if you want. If you're sticking with single gpu you could get the cheaper asrock z77 pro3 or pro4 board and a 450w power supply to save some money.

Threw in a blu ray burner drive which you might not need or want so remove it if you don't need it. Window's can be installed from an 8 gig usb stick so there's no need for a drive at all.

Threw in overclockable versions of the processor and mainboard as you have the budget for it and it only costs a little more for a lot more performance. That cpu will do around 4.5ghz with an overclock. The gpu overclocks a lot too.

That looks sweet BloodBath I'll defo be going along this sort of line. Is this a quiet rig? Might be a silly question since the fan has "be quiet on it but just wanna make sure.

It's a sound dampening case and most of the fans are quiet.

The gpu is always the noisiest part. The cooler on that card is pretty quiet though.

For a bit more I'd maybe take this psu if you are planning on going dual gpu down the line. It has a bit more overhead to run more efficiently with 2 gpus and is plat rated with a 7 year warranty.

Can't speak for that guy, but I have one, and it's great. That board gets specced a lot around here, and I haven't heard anyone complaining about it.

I'm probably going to be going for a build similar enough to the one above. Would one be better off getting the GPU from a different site? One that offers the AMD games bundles. For example I found this 7950 that come with 4 free games and is about 20 quid cheaper (not including delivery though).

If you can find a better deal like that there's really no reason not to go for it. (assuming delivery works out ok, etc.)

It would only matter for extreme overclocks on high end water cooling or liquid nitrogen. You will be getting around 4.5ghz with that cpu cooler so it doesn't matter if the vrm cooling isn't amazing or that it's only a 4+1 phase power design when you won't be pushing either of those to their limits.

Gonna sound like a noob here but do i need anything other than thermal paste and screwdrivers to build it

nope.thermal paste,a philips head screwdriver..preferably an anti static wrist band but if not just make sure you ground yourself off a radiator or other grounded item before touching the board.

Monotype

You'll get thermal paste with the heatsink, so you actually wouldn't need that.

Patience and a screwdriver are pretty much all you need. Some people get anti-static wristbands, but you're usually okay without as long as you handle the components carefully and you're not wiping your feet on the carpet to build static. Touch something grounded every so often.

Yah that's fine. You could save €20 and get this either.

I'm not sure if it comes with as many bundled extras though. I think the 13 series is a barebones model hence the lowest price but you may not even need most of those extras.

Bah the true spirit is out of stock as well. You could go for this. Quite a lot bigger than the 212 evo and slightly less performance.

Ill get round to the photos in a bit but yeah they are pretty sweet. Those speakers give great sound for the price
