Chevrolet.com has some cool cars.....Camaro, Corvette etc

Chevrolet.ie has rebadged Daewoo heaps of scrap. What a sad country this is when it comes to cars.

I remember being in a "Chevrolet" dealership in Tralee and while I was there a lad was replacing the Daewoo badges with Chevrolet ones. Best of all was the badge on the steering wheel was staying Daewoo as it was embossed into the vinyl. Likewise the plastic wheel covers or hubcaps also kept the Daewoo logo. Sad! Made me think of real Chevrolets. It's well known American cars aren't the best in the world but some of them do look savage.

Chevys in their home country are largely heaps of scrap also. Actually the rebadged Daewoos that we get are probably better.

I'd rather sit in a broken down Corvette for a week than spend 1 minute in a Chevrolet Labia or whatever the f*** they're called!

    Would ya go an sh1te!?!

Chevy are the most reliable of all American cars. I've a 30-odd year old GM that's on the button. Even starts first time in the wet unlike any Ford that was built here in the 80's. Looks great too but a little thirsty to be fair! ;)

When I said chevys were largely a heap of scrap I thought it was a given that we were talking about the modern present day offerings. The older stuff in fairness was far better made. My most recent experience was a brief drive in the godawful Impala. Even my cousin's newish Camaro is imho a poorly made piece of junk.

Compared to Euro or Jap cars they are heaps and totally unreliable. I had the misfortune to be rented a Cavalier too many times, yet I've never kept one for more than a day due to them being complete heaps. Another lad at work also got one and when he hit the brakes at 40mph it swerved across two lanes of traffic.

All the Americans do to a car is stick a big engine in it and not worry about the details, like turning, top of the range cars always feel plasticy. Even the US Focus is a heap compared to the Focus sold here.

The US Focus is the same as the one sold here.

The current model is, and the original Focus was, but the Mk2 Focus in the US is totally different to what was sold in Europe.
