    Hi
Going to Canada next week and have ended up with a stopover in Chicago, so now my thoughts have come to all the lovely goodies I "could" buy in duty free. So never been to the states before just heard or read others raving about the good deals on cosmetics, so just wondering what would be on your shortlist if you got a couple of hours in Duty free? Thanks

I've only been in the Duty Free in the international terminal in Chicago (ie when flying back to Ireland) but it was tiny....

Hopefully you'll be able find a bigger one.

Got some Bobbi Brown, MAC and Chanel goodies at JFK duty free last time, I think the range of stuff at O'Hare depends on which terminal you fly into though.

I find the duty free in US airports is generally pretty bad. They don't seem to have the same vast areas that we have in Ireland and England. I was in Toronto Pearson in February and that was a bit better but not great. Maybe it's different in different terminals though. I didn't think it was great in JFK, Newark, Las Vegas or Philadelphia anyway.

Also, just in general, Canada is a little cheaper than here but definitely not the bargain-land that the US is. If you are going to Toronto, there is a gigantic Sephora in the Eaton Centre.

Definitely depends on the terminal. I flew through JFK and my particular one was ****e. Not staff, wrecked samples, poor selection of brands, very little stock actually on shelves!

Dublin duty free is probably one of the best for make-up and cosmetics. I've never really found a good one in the US. I don't know if you can get to an outlet mall, as there are often discount beauty shops in the outlets where you can pick up really good bargains. On one of my last trips, I picked up loads of MAC, Origins and others at excellent prices.
