I think they had a row with the airport when they tried to charge them. I was there last October and they stopped soon after that. I don't think you can fly to Verona from anywhere with Ryanair.

Yea we had flights booked last September but had to cancel. Crap they've cancelled the route.
Any idea which is closer for lake garda - Milan or Venice?

I was there a few years ago and flew from Milan-Bergamo(End of Interrailing trip)

The train system is actually quite good would you believe. We got a bus from Milan-Bergamo to Verona, then a train to Lake Garda. you can get there in 2.5hrs or so

aer lingus still flies the route every other day.

Milan-Bergamo is not all that far from Verona and is that side of Milan.
Verona is definitely nearer Lake Garda but you can spend the extra money to go with aer lingus or spend the extra time to goto Bergamo.

The aer lingus flights will have you in Verona at 9.45am so you have a full day there whereas the Ryanair flights dont leave till the evening and you'll be very late to your accomodation especially with the length of time it takes.

On the other hand that may mean a day less off work, so might also be good.
    At least theres choices there.
