510 is alright. Soundcard is only good for VOIP. Screen is handy but I dont use it much now that I have a second monitor. Its kinda old tech now.

Online mouse recommendations are fairly worthless (beyond build quality, software etc) as they're entirely subjective - what feels just right to you may be uncomfortable in someone else's hands due to the mouse size, and/or the type of grip of the user. The R.A.T. series from Saitek and Level 10 from Thermaltake feature adjustable bodies so that you can alter the size but you're better off knowing what size of mouse you prefer.

In terms of general quality, I'd look at the ranges from Roccat, Corsair, Steelseries for starters. Also, Logitech are about to update a lot of their old G series which were/are very popular (I'll be picking up the G500s when it's released).

As for keyboards, for that type of money I'd be looking at a good (but reasonably priced) mechanical keyboard from QPad, Cherry, or Coolermaster (CM Storm). There are plenty of other quality options/brands out there, but they tend to get pricey.

With that budget, I'd seriously consider a mechanical keyboard. I love mine, and it's (yet another) something I won't be going back on. My quick take on mechanical keyboards, as well as OCN's guide are probably worth a look. You can get a sampler kit of the switches from here (email them and they can ship it to you for around $5). That will make sense if you read either of the two links above.

A couple of the nicer mech. keyboards out there are Corsair's K90 and K70 (Reds), Cooler Master's CM Storm Trigger or TK (Choice of switch) and Logitech's G710+ (Browns). QPad do nice stuff too. (I'm using a Brown MK-80, though I'm looking for a Blue-something to replace it).

As for mice, Sasquatch has the right of it. I'll just chime in and say that I'm using a Revolution MX from Logitech and like it a lot, particularly the comfort side of things.

If you can stand to wait a little bit (or if you're around the Maynooth area) I'd recommend picking up a sampler kit, and trying out the switches. It might sound like a small thing, but all of the switches feel completely different. I personally can't stand Reds for instance, and would (possibly, I've never been faced with the choice) use a membrane keyboard instead.

Iv been looking around but i cannot seem to find any shops that stock a range of mice and keyboards,id like to try the keyboard and mouse before i buy but places like PC world only have 2-3 different keyboards and they are all boxed, any stores that allow you to try before you buy?

As for keyboard, you better off going with mechanical at this stage. So far blacks and reds switches are market as gamers switches, but you better off trying them out or at least check online their working methods.
when it comes to mouse I would not suggest to go for the one, which has all the extras and tits for more immersive experience.
I would personally recommend razor deathadder. It's a very good mouse, which has no stupid not needed extras. It's focus where it needs to be. No wonder why this mouse is still in production and the only mouse model which gets updated and tweaked, but still jeeps it's basic design.

You won't. Places like that just don't exist here, hence why I've been suggesting so strongly to try the sampler kit. Short of finding people that use a bunch of different types of mechanical keyboards, it's the only way you'll get to actually feel the switches under your fingers.
