I'm in the market for some new bar tape. I'm tempted by Lizard skins but it's twice the price of other decent looking stuff, is it worth it?

For me absolutely. It's so grippy and feels nice in your hands. If you go for white, make sure you clean it regularly, if it stays stained it won't go back to pure white. And go for the 2.5mm one, it feels better and there is almost no weight difference (if you are interested in such things)

You are now as bad as the worst one over there. Somebody put a firewall on his computer blocking that site.

Changed to black lizardskins bartape not too long ago. Have to say it's very nice, feels cushy and grippy, kind of made me feel like I've got a flat on the front at first.
    It is expensive though.

It is expensive but to be fair it's very durable too. I am on my second year on the same bartape on the training bike (black colour) and I can't see any reason to change it.

I got it the end of last year for my winter bike and went back for it again for the good bike. Well worth it.

Change it for fresh stuff :P

My white saddle has taken on a mucky hue, so my bartape matches better when it's dirty :P

Get a sponge (something that doesn't leave a mark) with a bit of water. Pour some Cif and some salt/sugar on the tape and rub it for a few mins, it should come back to life fairly easy.

look bar tape half the price and just as good...

Very comfortable, but I found it started peeling and wore through in a matter of days.

    Would not buy again.

Buy black. And get some screw in end plugs.

Have the nice chunky 3.2mm stuff on the commuter bike and love it - grippy and comfy. It's black so looking old is not yet a problem.

The only thing stopping me putting it on other bikes would be the need to change the saddles to match!

Last thing I need is a light bike, what excuses would that leave me for being so bloody slow going up hills? My cycling is largely based around comfort and self denial, and I plan to keep it that way :)

It's for 2 rolls, end plugs and finishing tape. The lengths are quite generous unlike some others.

When that graphite and glue death trap folds under you at 60kph like a bad poker hand, then you will know. Of course you'll probably just get some carbon teeth to replace the ones smashed out.
