    Hey folks,

Any idea if anywhere in Dublin sells Kuna commission free?

Unlikely I know, so is there anywhere you'd recommend to pick some up with decent/low rates?

Last time I was there you couldn't get it outside of Croatia!

Dunno if that's still the case though.

I had no trouble using Euros there, and they'd give you change in Kuna (they never once ripped us off). Otherwise, I always just withdraw from ATMs.

Really? Wow. There's a good few places exchanging euro's for kuna in Dub. Just wondering if there's one that stands out for low rates.

Don't be fooled by the lure of 'commission free', it's often used to disguise a crap exchange rate.

Work out the true rate taking commission into account if it's charged. You may find that if commission is being charged, it can max out at a certain level and if you're buying more than that you may end up with a better rate than you'd get from places that claim to be commission free.

If buying a small amount, commission can be a pain, especially if there's a minimum amount charged but look at the whole transaction rather than be fixated on whether they're charging commission or not.

It's usually cheaper to withdraw cash from an ATM when you get there, especially ATMs in bank branches.
