    Hi guys,
    Just wondering is Sport1 available on Hotbird? Im getting it with a sub to Cyfrowy Polsat but no picture and a little 'key' symbol beside it as if its locked because of the sub. I have a Silvercrest FTA recierver box and was wondering if i plugged the polsat cable into that would it possibly work? Although i cant seem to find online that Sport1 is available on Hotbird.

    You mean the German channel 'Sport 1'?

    You'll only get it FTA at 19 degrees east & that's the SD version.

    Sport 1 on hotbird possibly sky sports 1 Italy. Didn't realise those silvercrest stbs were able to be used for pay tv.

    Silvercrest receivers can't be used for pay tv. OP seems to believe access to free channels is denied him on his primary receiver due to the sub. card.

    they used to be able to be used for pay tv but the channel providers updated their encryption systems. still one or two channels open using the patched sl65. no card or cam slot so cant use a legit sub. google to see the history.

    Iv a sub to Cyfrowy Polsat, but i also have a Silvercrest reciever for the Uk FTA channels.
    I found Sport 1 on the Cyfrowy Polsat box without sound or picture, but i believed Polsat may have blocked it so had hoped if i plugged that cable in to the Silvercrest box would i get it as its FTA.

    its either going to be Saudi sport 1 (fta), sky sports Italy 1 (nds), nova sports 1 (irdeto), be in sports 1 (via) or rai sport 1 (seca, fta, nds)
