Im working through Khanacademy with my son and there is a section under probability to do with "Box and Whisker" plots and I have no memory of them from school or college and just curious if its just something particular to the US?. There was also another small section called "stem and leaf plots" which again didnt ring any bells.

Stem and leaf plots are definitely on the Irish secondary maths syllabus.

Box and whisker plots may not be on the syllabus, but median and quartiles are definitely on.

thats great thanks, I guess the Median and Quartiles are the take away points from the Box and Whisker plot
