Have above issue and wondering will the examiner allow me to sit the test with above light showing on dashboard???

If not is it possible to adjust the fuses to remove light for duration of test.

    Advice greatly appreciated

No, you wont be allowed sit the test. Depending on the car, you might be able to knock it off, on my older Nissan Primera you can knock the light off for 24 hours if you have access to the diagnostic equipment.

You're better off getting the car fixed. It could be something very simple indeed. Go to a mechanic and get the code read.

Is it true you can do it in the testers car if you give advanced notice?

    No.

If you have an instructor, you can ask to use their car. At a cost.
