I've been hoping to get one of these callers. Anyone used one?

I hear nothing but good things however I'm not getting any reply when I enquire through Doug whigfield's site. Any ideas?

    Just a heads up

Section 35 of the Wildlife Act as amended in 2000
35.—(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act apart from this section, but subject to section 42, a person shall not—

“(d) use an electrical or other instrument or appliance (including recording apparatus) emitting sound, for the purpose of hunting any wild bird or any wild animal.”

What the word "instrument" does and does not cover is beyond me.

Decoys and Lures:it is an offense to use an electrical or other instrument or appliance(including recording apparatus) emitting or imitating a call, to hunt wild deer except under license;section35(1)(d).It may also be an offense under this section to use any non-mechanical orally or manually operated whistle or other instrument or appliance e.g. deer call, for purposes of hunting deer.

A sika seducer is not electronic. It's mouth operated. I knew about the electronic part of the law but that "may also" part is news to me. Typical though. What a joke of a law. So who decides if it is or isn't.

Who uses this to give them this idea???

"Although not marketed as a SIKA call this Roe call from Buttolo has won many plaudits for its ability to attract the Sika stag. IRISH stalkers use this call and rate it highly! Attractive price and low postage cost even to IRELAND!"
