6 Inch Human Skeleton

 Scientists are examining what appears to be a 6 inch tall human skeleton discovered in the Atacama desert in Chile. Theories abound whether this is an aborted fetus or a species of monkey. It appears that the remains are real and apparently it's the star of a documentary titled 'Sirius' which is produced by an apparently famous UFO proponent by the name of Steven Greer.

    Here's a link with pictures; http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2313828/Is-really-human-DNA-tests-inch-skeleton-alien-looking-creature-sized-head-prove-actually-human-claim-scientists-new-documentary.html

It's on a couple of websites, but this one has the best photographs I could find.
Anybody seen this anywhere else? I find it hard to believe this is human and actually survived for any length of time after birth. I think it will be revealed that it is nothing more than some kind of genetic anomaly in a fetus.

Mods feel free to move this to a more appropriate forum.

With my height, and more importantly penis size, I would have been a god! I've said it before, I was born in the wrong time.

Using facial reconstruction techniques, they were able to create an artist's impression of what the tiny skeleton would have looked like..http://omg.wthax.org/6WWiq4.jpg

This is not a new story. Discovery did a doc about this a few months back turned out to be a hoax. Its a monkey skeleton and some guy made some kind of animated video with it.

I vaguely remembered there was a thread on here about this.

    https://www.theguardian.com/science/2018/mar/22/genetic-tests-reveal-tragic-reality-of-atacama-alien-skeleton

So, not an alien. Not a monkey. Not a manufactured hoax.

“Now scientists in California have extracted DNA from the mummy’s bones and pieced together the real and tragic story of the individual, known as Ata. Rather than a visitor from another world, Ata was a girl who appears to have been stillborn, or to have died immediately after birth, with devastating mutations that shaped her extraordinary body.”

“While this started as a story about aliens, and went international, it’s really a story of a human tragedy. A woman had a malformed baby, it was preserved in a manner and then ‘hocked’ or sold as a strange artefact. It turns out to be human, with a fascinating genetic story from which we might learn something important to help others. May she rest in peace.”

    Found that very touching.

Finally, we finding answers to what those little creatures are. The body found in Chile is a human with a genetic deformity.

    https://edition.cnn.com/2018/03/22/health/atacama-skeleton-mystery/index.html

The combination of genetic mutations explains Ata's appearance, but it's the number of mutations all present in the same specimen that surprised the scientists.
"It's rare," Butte said. "To our knowledge, no one has ever explained all of these symptoms in a patient before, and the changes in the DNA, or mutations, reflects this."
But what could have caused this number of mutations?

We do speculate that the environment where this child was developing might have played a role. The specimen was found in a town with abandoned nitrate mines, and exposure to nitrates might have caused the mutations. But it's only speculation."

I have a feeling this still won't stop grave robbers selling their alien stories to the deluded.
