Insurance Occupation Moral Dilemea

I was about to change my job title on my insurance policy and was hoping for a few quid off the premium. It actually almost doubled! Makes no sense because on the account it says I'm a student. Would anyone here tell them? I can't actually afford to change it so no dilemma for me!
