I kid you not, I pulled into the local co-op and they were off loading an arctic from Kildare of 8x4x3 bales of wheaten straw. The store manager informed me that they were going for €90 a bale however as I was not a milk supplier I could not get any. I was talking to the uncle who milks and had received a text from another Kerry outlet. It turns out they're afraid they won't get their money from the beef farmers, talk about kicking a guy when he's down...

Are Kerry selling them at cost, they got a few loads last Sunday evening from a place near me and were in a panic to load on Sunday to have them in the outlets on Monday morning . 8/4/3 of wheaten straw was 22 to 25 euro all winter

Saw some hay on Saturday that Lakeland got for farmers, was good looking stuff , they were charging 35e for a 4/4, six bales per farmer, bales were costing Lakeland 65e,

Hopefully the same guy will remember who put the boot in when he gets back up.
