Photoshop scratch

    When I installed photoshop 7 on my win 7 I got a message about scratch being on the same partition or even drive as windows page file could cause problems. Can I disable scratch? What problems could it cause.? My disk is not partitioned and is a fairly new installation of window 7 which I do not want to mess with
