So my laptop breaks last week and I need to watch the fight. I've been counting down the days ever since it was announced.

Anyone know of any pubs that could be showing it Saturday night?

I know BoxNation on Sky are televising the event but the number to buy the ppv doesn't seem to work. Any ideas?

I can't help you unfortunately, but can I ask why you're counting down the days to fight between Khan and Julio Diaz of all people?

Well there are a couple of reasons for that. The main one being that I'm a big Khan fan and I look forward to all his fights. Its not that I'm particularly interested in Diaz.
If he wins, then that'll make the rematch with Garcia that much more likely. If he loses, then his career will hit rock bottom. So its a pretty important fight.
People are under-estimating Diaz. Sure he's not up there with the likes of Mayweather etc. but he is a former world champion, he has the power to trouble khan and has admitted that he'll need the k.o. to win. Sounds like an exciting fight, don't you agree?

Khan might not necessarily get Garcia. GB have set up a sort of tournament in which Khan will get the winner after Ramadan later this year. Mathesse is fighting Peterson with the winner getting the winner of Judah and Garcia. I actually really like these two fights. If Judah can move I think he cause Garcia a few problems. I like Khan but don't see too many good matchups for him here. Garcia and Mattesse are terrible match ups for him. Just not sure he can keep them off him for 12 rounds. I think he beats the other two fighters.

Diaz is shot to pieces. Khan under Hunter has apparently adopted a more conservative style which I think will see him stay well clear, jab the head off Diaz and hopefully pull out a stoppage in the latter half of the fight. Personally I think Khan is finished at the higher echelons of boxing, he had his chance and he has notched up three losses to mediocre light-welter fighters. The notion of him moving up to welter is laughable nowadays considering he's a middle-of-the-pack in his own division. I can't believe he was once mooting fights with Mayweather and Pacquiao.

As for Mathysse? He would annihalate Kahn, I'd be surprised if he lasted six rounds to be honest.

Is that serious? It sounds as though Khan is being rated as the king of the division and these lads have to earn the right to fight him? If anything it should be the other way round? ....well, apart from Judah.

Yes its 100% serious. The reason Khan was left out so to speak was because on Ramadan this year he will only fight twice. He is also the biggest money draw of the fighters so it makes sense to have him fight the winner in a big money fight.

I'd have my doubts about that tournament actually happening. If Garcia knocks Judah out, I would not be at all surprised to see a fight between Floyd and Garcia being touted for September.

Garcia is seen as a potential future cash cow, what with the Philly thing and the Puerto Rican heritage. If Matthysse demolishes Peterson I wouldn't be so sure he'll get a shot at Garcia either.

There is a pub near the ambassador on O'Connell street. They usually show all the big fights. It's a little rough around the edges, watch the fight and leave type of place..

Try Cassidys in Camden Street. If you give them a call beforehand they should put it on, nice pub as well. Caught a few fights here.
