    Local cumann or the comhairle ceanntair keep those funds, they don't go to head office so there's no way anyone could put an actual figure on it and they don't have to declare what they get anyway.

    Church Gate collections are vital for the local organisations of all parties.
    Head office doesn't give money to local area organisations so that money will just pay for any local expenses over the year.

    FF Collecting at church gates ? ...it makes sense ,sure where else would people be foolish enough to part with money ? .The Mafia might copy and follow suit although the use of the word '' Mafia '' to describe criminal behavior by a large group of people is open to interpretation these days.

    A soft touch to ,people always gave after church collections , it makes them feel good about themselves .
