So when after the extended essay do I put in the footnotes. hwne your putting in the footnotes do you just show the book and page you got your source from or should you put in a little quote from the source that backs up your claim.

    Is this example right?

North Korea established a soungbun system in 1956 underthe PPPS.(2)

After extended essay, footnotes: (2) Beyond the DMZ by andrei Lankov P33

    Is the above ceart?

I would suggest referencing the source in the text at the end of the relevent information (e.g. Source 1 or Source 2 etc with page number if appropriate) - this will usually be at the end of a paragraph. If you give a direct quote then reference directly after the quote.

If you use more than the three sources you evaluate then add the details of the extra sources at the end of the extended essay and use 'Source 4' and 'Source 5' in the text as above.
