Is a nine speed shifter compatible with a ten spend group?
That is does one simply index the groupset to go go without the top or bottom gear?

Hey ROK ON, I'm not sure but I don't think so. It does read on a sticker that it is 8 & 9 spd compatible but doesn't mention 10 spd. I'm guessing cable pull differences between 9 & 10 spd means the indexing wouldn't be right. There is also a friction setting on it though which I would be surprised if didn't do the job.
