Repairs to Puegeot 207

Hi, I have a few questions I hope people will be able to help with. I really haven't a clue about cars etc so any advice is appreciated :)

I've just brought our 2007 Puegeot 207 in to get a diagnostics check as we had an intermittent fault message saying "depollution system faulty". The car is driving fine and we have not noticed any issues apart from this error message. The diagnostic check showed two parts that needed replacing - the map sensor and the motorised throttle body. I was quoted e560 to fix them both ()

Are both of these faults that are quite serious? Does it need to be replaced ASAP or do we have a bit of time? From what I can see the parts don't seem expensive to buy online - is it something we could replace ourselves easily? (my husband isn't very car savvy either but we have a friend who knows his way around engines so could probably help fit it) or even to buy the parts ourselves and pay a mechanic to install them?

Also, we only bought the car just over 6 months ago from a dealer. The dealer assured us that a full service had been done and gave us a 6 month warranty which of course, has just expired. During the warranty we needed to get a part replaced, (which the garage did with no problems) and now these two more parts need replacing. Should the errors have been picked up in a service do you think or is something that could have happened in the last 6 months? We're just wondering if it is worth going back to the dealer and seeing if for goodwill he would do the repairs for less as there has been three faults in total since we bought it. That's probably a long shot but e560 is a lot of money at the moment so I'm looking for any solutions possible!

Thanks in advance for any advice :)
