NCT - Two things

    Hi allm
Firstly, the OH car is in for its NCT soon, but last week there was a tyre explosion that destroyed the alloy too. The spare wheel is on at the moment (full size, not space saver). Is that ok to use for the NCT? There are 3 alloys and one steely, all with new tyres.

Secondly, one of the minis is going to go through the NCT soon, and I am hoping to remove the passenger seat, as its in bits. Is that an NCT failure, and/or is it illegale to just have the drivers seat in the car? The rear seats have been removed, but the frame is still there.

    Thanks

    1. As long as tyres on the same axle have the same size - it's no problem. NCT manual says also, that any defect on spare wheel is pass-advisory, but no mention about missing spare. ;)

    2. Well, again no mention in NCT manual regarding missing seats. :o

Thanks for that! I had a feeling the wheels would be ok, but just wanted to check.

Its funny in relation to the missing seat, because they can fail you on a loose seat (happened before with the back seats) so I am thinking it its not there, they can fail it!

They maybe can fail it re: missing seat, but IMO it'd be visual retest, so free of charge. :)
