    Hi guys.

I'm already Dj'ing for around of 4/5 Years. Maybe it's the time to go work because how long a person can play online ;)

I'm not sure how does it look here as I'm Polish.
At Poland person record a set , burn it to CD and bring to a Club and that's all.

I'm thinking about making that CD with 2 set's in two diffrent genre's and make a small CV. If my idea is right then what should I write on CV ?
I'm thinking of name , age , some music experince like production of music and djing on Dj Equipment. Should I mention what type of equipment I have ? What CD Players and Mixer ?

Also do you think this set's are good to bring to a club:
    http://www.mixcloud.com/damiangpl/damazy-commercial-set/
    http://www.mixcloud.com/damiangpl/damazy-electro-set/ ?

Without mixing it more , what should I do to work in a club and are the set's good :) ?

Also there's no problem, because the nightclub called O'Riada in Macroom, Co.Cork is opened at night and I'm 17. I was trying to find e-mail but what I founded was only a phone. Should I call and talk or try to get in ?

Hope yee all help me ;)
    Thanks, Damian01211

    Hi Damian

You're always going to find it tough to get a regular club gig as a 17 year old. Clubs here aren't really for the EDM DJs/purists in my opinion. They are not looking for Sets on Soundcloud etc... They mostly want a party atmosphere where you play all the regular chart stuff aswell. I've been Djing in clubs now for over 10 years and have made a pretty decent living from it. I also went down the Ibiza Club route where i spent 2 summers working out there as a support act to some of the biggest Djs... I came home from there broke with no money :p ....

My advice to you is go down the route i did. I did the lights free of charge every Sat Night as a 17 yr old for 2 years. I got to know the Resident Dj's pretty well and when they had to go on Hols or were out sick i was the natural replacement for those nights so it went from there. However if you're looking to make a name for yourself as a "proper" EDM Dj this isn't the route for you. But if you're looking to make €400-€500 every weekend on top of your reg job then this is the route i'd suggest!

    Best of luck with it!!!
EDM = Electronic Dance Music (Ideally you should be tinkering with Production here also!)

    Wait, to be cleary :D
You are suggesting me to go as LJ for the start ? Just asking to be sure ;).
Also I was thinking about like 50 euro per night so that's around 100 for 2 night's. Didn't even think of 400 Euro ! A lot of money ;D

Yep be a Light Jockey. Think of it as your apprenticeship.
Another thing I know lots of nightclub/hotel owners. They're not always looking for this cheapest option. So offering your services for €50 will make them think you're not good enough ... Just offer to do the lights and get to know the current DJ and that'd be your best option

Not a bad idea, even thought would ask a Dj if I could play for example first hour or 2 and then he.

The DJ's aren't always in charge. At least in Dublin, the promoters decide who plays and thats it. Most mainstream nights in Dublin are student orientated and there are about 3 companies that have a circle of DJs who just rotate around various nights. They are decent but it means its very hard to get in from the outside as the companies are usually a band of good mates.

Most of these so called companies are charging a hell of a lot than a stand stand alone dj. Im sure if you are good enough some of the clubs wouldn't be long in getting rid of these companies that promise the world.
