    Not as weird as you think! My father had one of these that he picked up secondhand as part of a job lot of tools and machinery he bought many years ago. Some of the pegs were missing from what I remember so I don't think he ever used it. It was probably the bee's knees back in the day, before cheap Taiwanese hand mitre saws (Nobex copies) were available. I wouldn't pay anymore than a couple of euro for one though!

    They can be got on Ebay for a euro in some cases.

    well its not bad looking and have to admit I would use it now and again if
    I had one, however, nothing like a set square and and a chunk of square wood as a straight edge to
    do the same thing, if your skilled like me...lol :)
