Hey guys, I'm looking to get a new mouse and keyboard soon and I was just wondering if there is anybody that would recommend a specific keyboard or mouse based on your own experiences.

I'll be looking to get something worthwhile, so I'm willing to pay a bit extra for a good keyboard & mouse.

    :)

Depending on how much you use your computer / how important this stuff is to you, I'd think about a mechanical keyboard. I got one a few months ago, suffice it to say, I won't be going back to a membrane keyboard. Rather than explain what they are, I'll just link to a blog post I did a while back:

I'm afraid I can't help you if you're not looking for something mechanical, except to say that my girlfriend uses a Logitech Illuminated keyboard, and it's quite nice looking. White backlit, stylish, and not horrible to type on.

    This is what I'm using
    Keyboard:
Qpad MK-85 Red LED Pro Backlit Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - UK Layout - Red Switches

Bit pricy but, would recommend a mechanical keyboard anyway.

    Mouse:
Zowie AM GS 2300 DPI Optical Gaming Mouse

I've had this mouse for a little over a month now and have to say it's the best mouse I've owned to date.

Ah cool thanks for the link I'll have a look.
I use my computer a lot because of college, programming and web design, and because I play games on my PC.

    My setup:

    Logitech G510 + MS Sidewinder X3.

Both more than decent but I wouldnt buy either now(X3 is discontinued).

If I was buying tomorrow a G710+ would be high on my list of options.

Lovely keyboard, that. Someone really needs to take their thumb out and get a decent MX Blue to market though. Corsair have something in the pipeline, but they're taking their sweet time with it.

tbf most mainstream manufacturers aim to sell these keyboards to gamers as opposed to typists so Blacks/Browns/Reds are the preferred choice and i think those switches are slightly cheaper than blues/greens (razer use Blues i think)

Have corsair fixed the K90 so that all the keys are mech i used one 2 weeks ago and having the function keys membrane made using the KB for RTS just awful Imo

The K95 should be launching shortly. It's a black metal / white LED version of the K90, with mechanical keys throughout.
