huge USC charge

    My basic pay is just under 2000 a month, I only started on 2/4/13 and we got payed today, the usc charge was 311:eek: never payed that before even when on higher wages,am I on emergency tax or something?

    The payslip has this Emgy Start Per 4 on it???

    Emergency basis for usc is 7%
    seems a bit high for 2000$
    it will go down when u come off ebasis tho and its cumative from this year so excess is refundable

    Rang them today apparently when I changed jobs the USC band never swapped over, I will get a refund next month :rolleyes:
