    Hi All,

Anyone getting a good deal with Sky for the broadband and tv?
Trying to get broadband sorted at home at the moment and sky offering bundles now, was quoted €110 pm for tv (inc. sports), unlimited internet and landline with x (can't remember) minutes.

    hi

I had sky sports free (some intro offer) for a few months (sept to dec) a couple of years back.

I found that I didn't really watch too much sport on it. Any big games I'd go to the pub to watch, champions league is all on terrestrial tv anyways.

For me the cost of it is a bit OTT compared to the amount of time I'd watch it. Really the only time I was watching was on a Monday night when there was a game on.

If you are a big watcher of sport then it might be worth your while...if you are like me and go out to watch the bigger football games then its probably not worth it.

Plus they also have golf, tennis and rugby on it too :D

For sports, you can get the channels on demand as per pay as you go subscription. I'll dig out the name for you in the morning. You can pay per match. It's official and legal.

It may work to try it out for a while, then upgrade to the full package if you need more. You may save money this way.

www.nowtv.com. A bit pricey, though, at approx €12 per day (24 hours).

Anyone any idea how much broadband and the basic tv bundle costs?
