We're looking to go abroad this year with the kids. We've got 12-year old and 5-year old girls and a 1-year old boy. Any recommendations for places that would have something for the whole family?

Falcon Holidays have some good family resorts. We went to Salou with them a few times when the kids were young and the places were perfect.

Just bumping this with a bit more info. I've looked into a few different places that appear to be pretty cool, with Kids Camps and stuff for the 4-year old and stuff for the 12-year old to do. We looked at campsites around Lake Garda in Italy and also thought about doing the whole ferry to Brittany to go to a campsite.

Those options do look good but I'm worried about the 1-year old. That's a lot of travelling with a baby. Also, with the other two kids off having fun all day, I'm worried that my wife and I will just spend our days trying to keep the little one occupied.

Has anyone got experience of, or recommendations for, holidays that cater for parents, older kids and babies at the same time?

you can't go wrong with spain/portugal, only 2 and a half hour flight.

if i were you i'd be thinking kids club / waterpark for the 12 year old. 5 year old and baby would be happy at the pool / beach every day, easily pleased

Thanks for the replies. Finbarrk, I was typing my post while you posted... guess I didn't need to bump the thread!

One other thing... I've got a budget of €1,500 - €2,000 for everything. Would that get us to Spain/Portugal?

i'd say your budget would need to be at least 2k
sure have a look at the prices of flights, i imagine they would be 200-250 each and sure the baby is only 20euros
a week to 10 days, allow about 100euros a night for july.
i've a place in albufeira that i rent out, it booked up now for the summer, but if you need any info on portugal/albufeira, please ask me
