geting rid of sky multiroom geting freesat?

Hi want to cut down on sky. have multi room 2 boxes and all that. one in sitting room hd box etc one in kitchen not hd was thinking of leaving the sittingroom and cancelling the multiroom and puting in freesat box where the kitchen one was- just pluging and playing wiill this work? j

Your skybox will also pick up FTA channels if you pull the card out.

www.aertv.ie will get you rte etc on pc. u can hook it up to tv.

multi room charges are a farce.

or you have Saorview option

Comes integrated in many TV models or standalone box.

I have one of those works a treat its on a 22" LCD tv in the bedroom but you will need to run a co-ax cable from an arial for Irish channels as well as the satellite cable to this box.

There are 2 Saorview approved combi receivers on the market that you might look into also. 7 day Saorview epg with MHEG-5 digital Aertel

Saorview is via a regular UHF aerial, Freesat/FTA channels via a satellite dish pointing at 28 degs. east
