    Hi all,
I have done the required searching and haven't come up with a solution for my problem.

When I wake my laptop from sleep it takes a long, long time to connect to my home wifi. The symbol in the tray shows full strength, but with a yellow mark over it (not triangle). Then after about 90 seconds the symbol gets a blue circle over it for about a second and it connects. I know it's only 90 seconds, but when you're sitting waiting for it, that seems like a lifetime. It should be instant, shouldn't it?

I've followed all the 'how to' stuff on the internet, but nothing seems to work. Now I know that the real talent is in Ireland, so I know the answer is out there. :)

Have you tried disabling power saving features for the wifi adaptor? Open device manager>Network Adaptors>Right click wifi adaptor>Power management tab and untick let Windows turn off the device to save power

Hi Nick, Thanks for the reply. Yes that's one of the things that I've tried. I just re-checked to see if it's still unticked... it is. :(
