Working in the UK/ Business in Ireland

    Hi all,

Does anybody know, if you work in the UK and are not a full resident there, do you pay less tax? I've read somewhere that this may be the case.

Also, if I worked in the UK and set up a small business in Ireland, would I pay tax in the UK, or would both work enterprises be separate with separate tax returns for each jurisdiction? I would be working in the UK, flying home and doing other private work here in Ireland.

Any advice or help would be appreciated.

This is srsbznz, talk to an international tax advisor.

Alternatively, read all about it for yourself: www.revenue.ie, www.hmrc.gov.uk

This forum is only for telling people to "talk to a professional".

If you want to save on tax then just move fulltime to the UK, they pay less there, simple.
