So season 3 has been off our screens for the past few weeks, but what is everyone doing for their TWD fix?

I just brought season 1 & 2 on bluray and have my first compendium on order..

Me an my dog have been building a fort in my kitchen and getting headshots on my gf with a pellet gun every time she walks in.
    She's not too pleased.

I've actually just finished reading issues 1 - 104 of the comic. Forgot how damn good they were. Literally kept reading one after another, couldn't put them down. One thing that made me laugh was the letter pages though. Robert Kirkman comes across very funny and self-deprecating and it was interesting to see how he filled in the readers of the development of the TV show as things were announced too. Some people are never happy either, throughout the comic he published letters from people criticising him for pacing, character development, realism etc... a lot of the same criticisms that the show gets! Lol

check out the game if you haven't, I wasn't expecting much as I'm a massive gamer but its actually really good, very story/decision making driven

Trailer below, it doesn't contain any comic book/tv show spoilers. I highly recommend it. Has a very TV series/adventure feel to it

I haven't read them in a while but I thought he came across as a bit of an Ars*hole in the letters page. Am going to read through the comics again myself, last time I read 1-100 straight through, and it really is gripping stuff where you just want to read the next issue. But from 100-109 I have been reading them as the came out, and it's over in a few minutes, and hard to remember what has happened by the time the next issue came out. Will probably give that game a go too when I am finished.

Agreed. After the prison, it took a nose dive. The writing quality is still good but the storylines aren't great.

Not aimed at you at all NW, your post just made me laugh as I agree with you, the prison was the best storyline (comics) but most people watching the TV show are pissed off that they're staying in the prison and that they haven't stuck more to the comics!! A lot of people have been on saying they're done with the show. Lets see how many of them are back posting about S04 E01!! :D

Well I do agree with them tbh. People are agrieved that the prison story is continuing but the reasons for this are two-fold:

1: We were led to believe there would be a conclusion to the season. Not a finale, a conclusion.

    And

2: The prison story in the show is nothing like what it was in the comics. In the comics, we saw the characters build a home and have it taken from the through an act of war. We saw the first place that they'd been able to call home turn into a place they feared would be their final resting place. The show showed a different place entirely. And that's fine but it didn't give us a reason to hope for them. So it was a really shallow storyline. I genuinely think this next season is the last chance TWD has to show that it can be great. If the next season fails in that, it's game over. If not in actual air-time, then certainly in genuine quality.

I think next season we'll see them make the prison a home and farm it etc and maybe see some of the events from the comic take place. I just wonder what the Governor's role will be without an army behind him. How will he be a threat? Unless they amalgamate some storylines from the comic and the Gov integrates himself with another 'group'?

Not sure if I am the only one who feels the same...
But Season 3 wasnt the best. Started off good but just dipped. Then ended by an uneventful finale. I remember watching the last episode of S2 and saying "Man, I dont wanna wait another year for S3!!!" - now it's like ... meh.
