We are proud to present the new organization: WAK-1F Ireland ( World amateur K-1 federation Ireland).
WAK-1F is the only organisation in Ireland allowed to promote under the official K-1 banner.
WAK-1F Ireland has been founded by Tomas Satas and Paddy Clint and our aim is to give plenty of opportunities for Irish fighters to compete under the official K-1 name to gain plenty of experience in the ring at home and abroad.

WAK-1F Ireland will be participating in WAK-1F World championships, so there will be a good chance for Ireland's fighters to be recognized by other countries and to be noticed by the K-1 group.

We will be launching our official website soon with more info detailing our plans to run tournaments in every province, to determine who the top K-1 fighters in Ireland are.

    Meanwhile like us on Facebook."

    Don

At the moment its just amateur, we are planning a 32 county competition, but we are still very much in the early stages of planning it all. The main objective at the moment is to determine who the top K-1 fighters are at all weights in Ireland.

K-1 was bought over in japan and the new owners are trying to push shows more into Europe, so who knows, you might see a few big names strolling into the Black Box some day soon :)

    thanks for the support

    Paddy

    Hi there,

we're the only organization in Ireland representing K-1 amateurs name and nobody else is allowed to use it.

Now there's different story with "K1" or "K1 rules", because it's slightly different, promoters probably can legally use it as the same meaning to K-1.

    Thanks

so you guys are just like a company in ireland and obviously someone cant use your compant name unless they have permission are you associated with K1 themselves ?

We are associated with world K-1 amateurs federation (WAK-1F) which we represent in Ireland as WAK-1F Ireland.

So the answer to my question is you are not associated with the k-1 company itself.

Yes we are. K-1 amateurs is an official organisation under K-1 name.

WAK1-F Ireland's first show is planned for the 6th July 2013, in the Good Counsel GAA club, Suir Road, Driminagh

This is an all amateur K-1 show, that will show case novice fighters right up to the top fighters in the country. Ideal for novices to get noticed or for top fighters to keep active between fights

    To those who may concern,
Recently in media was announced K-1 Global announcement re supporting and not of amateur K-1 organisations.
First of all WAK-1F ( WORLD AMATEUR K-1 FEDERATION ) is independent worldwide brand, having it's own sport system. WAK-1F does not belong to K-1 Global or any other organisation. 60 different countries from all over the world had joined our organisation already.
WAK-1F being independant organisation has strong cooperation relationships with a lot of amateur and professional organisations.
K-1 Global announcement of 30th of May has no relation to WAK-1F, as on the 20th of March Mr. Mike Kim became the official employee of our organisation by signing an employment agreement and has the position of vicepresident.
    WAK-1F
