My iphone 4s has been connected to my Kia car kit for 2 months now. It stopped working this morning and I had to reconnect it. Now the phone is constantantly searching devices. Why is this happening? This seems to be using the battery and is happening even when I am away from the car.

Try rebooting the phone or else turn off bt when it's not in use. To reboot hold the sleep and home buttons together until the apple logo appears on screen

Ok problem solved. Not too sure what happened but ita all working fine after I rebooted it
