    Hi all

Ideally I am looking for a secondhand Nikon D5000 with a 55 -300 mm lens.

I have found a second hand one with an 18-55 & 55-200 lens but I wanted to know what price you would put this kit at?

I have no idea of the cost of secondhand cameras, this one in particular is 3 years old.

Do a search on adverts.ie for that camera and then in the refine options on the left put a tick in the box that says Sold. You'll see the going rate for them based on the actual prices they've sold for in recent months. Its something I wish more people did on adverts before putting up ridiculous prices.

    Will do!

The one i found is way over priced just been speaking to Con camera who confirmed my suspicions!

While some of their stuff can be a bit overpriced I've always found Conns very honest about pricing, especially second hand stuff. They're seem to have their finger fairly well on the pulse for second hand prices, but naturally enough they have to make a profit too which is why their prices tend to be a little higher then adverts or private sales.

And they also offer free dry sensor cleans for the life of the camera, even 2nd hand bodies - something very valuable that you won't get online.
