Hi all, I have an 04 Citroen Berlingo van diesel 1.9, 124K miles. When I'm at 50 or 60mph, the engine will 'hold back' for up to 10 seconds and then okay again for a bit. No real loss of speed, just drop off in power. Nearly sure it's not the clutch slipping and no warning lights coming on Engine starts and runs fine otherwise. My first diesel so any help appreciated. Thanks

Father drives the 1.6 hdi, and has had an issue with the turbo, not sure if the 1.9 has a turbo, but if it does, this sounds like a likely symptom

gutless but extremly reliable and fairly good on the juice, its proven to be quite a strong little lump although very very underpowered, gearbox is very close too

An angle grinder is the best cure for a bad cat in a diesel :D

left it with mechanic who said it was clogged up hence losing power, i found these 1.9 hard on fuel at best of times
