I think you should go back to your GP and tell her how you are feeling. She might be able to offer some advice.

Here's my two cents anyway. Maybe you could try joining up to a sport/martial art/fitness group etc to keep you active a couple of nights/days a week. Then maybe an evening course as well. That way you are interacting with people and making new friends as well.

Try to eat healthy and keep active. This will help with both anxiety and depression. Re-connect with friends and arrange going to the cinema (€5 a lot places now on Wednesday), out for walks, to lunch/dinner etc once or twice a week.

    Good luck x

When life gets rough you gotta get tough. (Mods: please don't ban me I'm just trying to help I'm not trolling or being offensive etc)

I get what you're saying, even partly agree... However, asking for help takes strength and courage and should not be cofused with weakness. I'm not suggesting the post I've quoted is saying otherwise I'm just emphasising this fact.

Something is not right, and it is affecting your life and your emotions. You need to get it sorted... Right? Ok, so the next step is the GP. If the GP is crap, go to a different one and don't give up. We are all here for you if you need a shoulder, or to vent, ask questions etc. We want to help, but you have to help yourself. You have to make a big step and get a professional involved. Trust me it helps a lot.

I recommend this a lot, to the point I'm sure some are sick of me saying it. I keep saying it as I know, I KNOW, it works and it will help. Be kind to yourself OP, you are in a bad place but there is help. The fact that anon strangers online want so badly to help you should tell you something!

Stay strong, but don't confusing needing help with any weekness. It is a tough thing to do and you're very brave for coming on here.

You need to go back to your GP hon so they can reassess how you are feeling and in turn your treatment. Make an appointment today and if it helps, write down exactly how you are feeling before going in so you are prepared. There is help out there, it's just a case of finding it x
