    Hi guys

    1999 1.9 tdi Audi a6
    150k miles
    Taxed until October
    Nct until December
    Battery and engine fine
    Driving fine

    The bad :

    Radio only just works
Drivers door gets jammed a lot
Loud creaking when steering turned one way
Button central locking not working : key does work

Is she worth anything ? It's a clean car for its age but has a few issues like I me mention above . Should I try selling as is or get fixed first and sell then ?

    Thanks for any tips

Put it up on donedeal and adverts and see?
Tbh, some or even all of those issues could perhaps be fixed inexpensively. Without seeing/hearing them first hand it's hard to say what's wrong.

Radio only just works - can you elaborate?
Drivers door gets jammed a lot - maybe just needs oiling?
Loud creaking when steering turned one way - does it sound like the suspension or the PSF? Replace PSF diy for a tenner.
Button central locking not working : key does work - does central locking work, perhaps it needs a new battery?

Audi TDI? You'll have the hand snapped off you if you let it go for peanuts

Radio comes on most of time but not every time . Button is a bit gammy

Central locking button don't work cos the control unit was replaced

I think it's the rubber in the door that's knavkered

The creaking sounds like the suspension but I'm not an expert

Should I get 1k for it?

maybe a new central locking motor will help

You'd probably get €1000 for it easy, the faults you list are what anyone would expect from a 14 year old.

Yup, I was thinking the same. I bet you'd have it sold in an hour at that price too. Mileage is on the low side for the age of the car, NCT and Tax, and some small issues that any car of that age would have.

Forget adverts, donedeal is your only man.

Yeah thanks guys. I think it's worth 1500 going on other ads I have seen, will let it go for 1k as it is

I will miss her, an absolutely fantastic car

Given the average price is about €3k with the same amount of miles I'd keep that in mind. €1.5k would be a bargain provided it doesn't need massive work.

would you not put a little time and a few quid into her and keep driving it?

Def worth something OP. Guts of 1500 personally id fix it a little then sell it, with that model A4 the radio is an easy fix of a new single din radio.
It sounds like small issues to be fair.

Issue seems to be with the remote not the motor.

Probably worth bringing to an VAG indy specialist and let them diagnose it. If all your or most issues could be fixed for 500/600 quid, then you might end up getting 2250/2500 for it (if people are advertising at 3K for similar)

They are not making 3k for them at all. They are between 1k and 2.5

It's an Audi, it's TDI and this is Ireland. Put it on Donedeal and it will probably snapped off in a short time (provided you try to sell it for a fair price). I'd try to get 1,000, so you might want to put it up for 1250 and "willing to accept reasonable offers" :)

Ps. a 14 years old car is not "too old" anywhere but here...
