    Hi

Does anyone know where I could get a Saorview Remote as image shows. It came with a NordMende TV, but have seen them being used on alot of low budget Saorview TVs

    Many thanks

I think that's an Alba remote like this one.

Nordmende are made by Vestel in Turkey, so are Alba, the Alba name was bought from Harvard some years ago. Both names are owned by Argos Plc. The Alba remote might work for your television but may have a different code. Best to contact Vestel and ask them to be sure.

Nordmende, Bush and Alba are made by Vestel in Turkey, hopefully any TV remote under these names will have the same codes and work for your television. The names are licensed to Argos, they bought the brand names. :) Unresponsive remote control can often work again if you open the remote and clean the circuit board and under the buttons or cut a small circular piece of aluminium foil and super glue it to the pad under the buttons as the carbon often wears and doesn't make proper contact with the circuit board anymore so doesn't respond.

I don't think Nordmende has anything to do with Argos.

The Nordmende brand rights are owned by the KAL Group in Ireland. Thomson of France own the brand.

You can add Walker too, as a brand made by Vestel. Indeed, there were a few models of Walker that used that R/C.

Even some of the different style remotes may work, I notice even Philips remotes can work to an extent, though a bit trial and error.

Grab a universal remote, do the job nicely! I like the One For All uni's though that said, the Lidl ones aren't half bad either, just hate the silicone buttons.
