Magic Eye Sky HD Box Not Working

The magic eye for my 2nd TV stopped working.

Thinking it was the magic eye that was broken I bought a new one on Amazon replacing the old one.

Now the new magic eye also does not work.

Anybody know how to set up a magic eye properly for a 2nd TV from a new HD Sky TV box?

    Hi,
Is the red or green led indicator lit on the eyes? If not then you are missing the power supply from the rf2 output of the Sky Hd box.
To activate this supply do the following:
Press the services button on your remote to access the Services menu.
Press the right arrow button to highlight the Settings menu and press the select button. You will now be highlighted on Picture on the menu bar.
Press 0, 1 then select to access the hidden Installer Setup options. You will now be highlighted on Setup.
Using the right arrow button, highlight RF Outlets and press select. RF Channel Number displays.
Using the numbers on the remote control keypad change the RF channel, any number between 21 and 69.Normally 68

Remember to press green to save changes.

    Hi Wilby

LED Light on both Magic Eyes is not lit.

RF Channel is set to 68.

RF Outlet Power Supply is On.

    I have saved these settings.

    Still no luck?

Most of the problems with these eyes are caused by poor connections. A lot of installers wouldn't even bother making a decent connection for DC power.

Ideally, the centre pin of the aerial plugs should be soldered.

    Hi,
Agree with Raygun if the leds are not lit and the power is turned on then suspect bad connection.
Take a magic eye and connect it directly to the rf2 connection at the back of the sky box and check that you get it to work there first. If ok then works back towards the 2nd tv. also be aware that if the 2nd tv is connected via a wallplate then it will be necessary to byepass the wallplate .
